Volunteering is now a movement that mobilises large numbers of young people and adults throughout the world and is an instrument of civil society participation in the most diverse fields of activity. This practice is not limited to the social sphere, but extends to culture, education, justice, the environment, sport, and other dimensions of our daily lives, responding to issues that are constantly emerging from the social, economic and political fabric.
