The Forum of Mediterranean Women Journalists (FMWJ) is an initiative founded in 2016 and aimed at promoting independent, ethical, and inclusive journalism, capable of giving a voice to investigative journalists, conflict zone correspondents, researchers, and activists. The event takes place annually in Puglia to build cultural bridges between the shores of the Mediterranean, address issues such as press freedom and social and environmental justice, and counter sexism and gender stereotypes.
