Stands for Conference of the Parties. The first Earth Summit took place in 1992 in Rio de Janeiro with the aim of beginning to address global warming and define actions against the climate crisis. The first COP took place in 1995 in Berlin. Since then, it has been held every year. It was only skipped in 2021 due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
